Driver Captures Championship Title


The American Quarter Horse Association, Oklahoma City, August 9, 2016) – Driver from Garden City, Texas, claimed the AQHYA Barrel Racing Title at the 2016 Built Ford Tough Championship in Oklamhoma City on the 9th of Augsust.

Driver and Past Due the horse she rode on had a great event. Past Due is owned by Jennifer and Dane driver by Garden City, Texas. The bay gelding was born in 2002 and sired by Mr Honor Bound and Wimpy’s Country Doll. Breeder was Trend of New Tazewell, Tennessee.

There were a total of one hundred entries! for the world championship. There was great prized for the champions that included such items as custom tropy, buckles, custom logo jacket brought to them by Cripple Creek Outerwear, the world championship patch, neck wreath among others.

Those that had qualified for the 18 and under event were the ones invited. There were more then 2,000 entries from the U.S., Canada, Ireland, UK and Australia competing for 35 different world championships. It is a great and not easy to qualify for as you must have a certain number of points from qualified events to be entered.
